Voting Question: In California, what happens when only one candidate is listed for a position in a primary election?

I am voting in Alameda County, CA, where county office positions are unchallenged by the one candidate listed. Does this mean the candidate listed is automatically going to win that office? Does it matter whether I vote for that person or not? Would leaving the arrow blank drive their numbers down, even if they get into that position? How does this work? Thanks!... Read More »
